NOTICE OF DANGER: Big River Does Flash Flood.
There is a Potential for loss of life and/or loss of personal property.

Morse Mill Park is in the flood plain of the Big River and the area DOES flash flood several times a year. Thus, the park may be flooded prior to your setting up camp, or it may flood after you have set up camp. To prevent loss to life and/or property, Jefferson County reserves the right to cancel any and/or all camping permits that have been issued without prior notice, and further; may evacuate all campers from a park as warranted. If a permit is canceled, or an evacuation occurs for any reason, refunds WILL NOT be issued.

1. Camping permits must be obtained from the Jefferson County Department of Parks and Recreation prior to setting up camp; Camping shall be allowed in the designed area only.
2. Per-Night camping reservation charge is $10.00 for in-county residents and $12.00 for out-of-county residents. Proof of residency may be required. Payment must be made in full prior to setting up camp.
3. Each designated campsite will be allowed one vehicle; a maximum of two (2) tents and eight (8) people. The standard Per-night charge will be applied to each additional vehicle
4. Camping shall be limited to three (3) consecutive nights. Individuals shall not be allowed to camp more than three nights over a seven (7) day period without prior authorization.
5. Camping permits shall be displayed on the vehicle dashboard.
6. All park rules shall apply. Including Pets being prohibited.
7. All fires shall be limited to the provided grill and/or fire rings. A five (5) gallon pail of water shall be kept at the campsite to assist in extinguishing fires.
8. All fire must be extinguished by 11:00 p.m.
